The Carrot River Valley Watershed Association Inc. (CRVWA) is a non-profit non-governmental organization incorporated in 2011. The association is dedicated to preserving and maintaining the character and integrity of the watershed through education and awareness. Our mission is to protect and improve water quantity, water quality, and diversity of the watershed through collaborative planning and facilitating partnership.
The Carrot River Watershed is located in east central Saskatchewan and is part of the Saskatchewan River basin. The Watershed covers approximately 13,200 km2 , including the City of Melfort, Towns of Arborfield, Carrot River, Kinistino, St. Brieux, Star City, Tisdale and Wakaw, 12 villages, 21 Rural Municipalities and seven First Nations. The estimated population is approximately 25,000.
